The Adidas SL72 trainers are a tribute to the brand’s original designs created for the 1972 Olympics, showcasing a perfect blend of sporty and stylish aesthetics. The “SL” in SL72 stands for ‘super-light’, while ’72’ pays homage to the 1972 Olympics, marking the debut of this iconic sneaker range. The re-release of the SL72 trainers was commemorated by Office in Carnaby Street, who dedicated a section of their store to showcase the shoes. At the heart of it all was our Adidas SL72-branded Classic Booth, allowing guests to have their pictures taken while posing with AI-generated Olympic flowers.

Attract screen

The opening page of the app invited users to have their photo taken. The design matched the appearance of the store aesthetic with the red to pink gradient.

Preview screen

After a visitor tapped the screen to start the process they could preview themselves inside the Original Stories frame with the ai generated brick background and flowers.

Approval screen

A single photo is captured and users can choose to keep their photo or take another to be part of their very own SL72 campaign shot.

Printing screen

After approving their photo the printed version was a triptych output with imagery from the SL72 campaign.

QR Code share screen

A simple QR code share screen allowed users to access their photo via a microsite page without having to enter their email or share other personal details.

Thank you screen

The final step in the UX greets users with a thank you message and confirmation their image will be displayed in the shop window – we used our slideshow functionality to display customer photo in real time.
